12% GLA (Omega-6)
- A unique blend of evening primrose oil and starflower (borage) seed oil,
- Guaranteed level of 120mg of GLA per capsule - approximately 50% more than similar sized evening primrose capsules,
- Plus 10mg of vitamin E per capsule,
- Often recommended to menopausal women, and for women at the time of their period.
Lamberts® Evening Primrose Oil with Starflower Oil 1000mg provides 120mg of GLA and 10mg of vitamin E per capsule. Formulated as a rich-blend of both oils, this product provides approximately 50% more gamma-linoleic acid (GLA) per capsule than the similar sized evening primrose capsules on the market. The precious nutrients are encapsulated in small, easy to swallow capsules, suitable for both vegetarians and vegans.
Whilst the body can make GLA from linoleic acid (the omega 6 fatty acid present in vegetable oils), this conversion is sometimes slow or partially blocked. Including a dietary source of GLA can help the body to by-pass the conversion process of an important prostaglandin called PGE1, which helps to regulate the nervous, cardiovascular and reproductive systems, skin condition and other biological functions. As such, Lamberts® Evening Primrose Oil with Starflower Oil 1000mg can be recommended to:
- Women going through the menopause,
- Women at the time of their period,
- Anyone wishing to keep their skin in good condition.
