Ginger essential oil has many applications. It's has been used as travelling aid as sometimes thought to help with travel sickness & tummy upsets when used diluted as a rub. 

It is also a common choice for massaging into aching muscles due to its lovely warming effects.

Naturally stimulating, it is a great oil to have in the burner if you are in need of a little energy boost! Its warming qualities are also used to help soothe colds, coughs, respiratory congestion, sinusitis and sore throats. Ginger is a very powerful oil and as with all essential oils, it should be diluted to a maximum of 1% before skin application.

Directions

Dilute to a maximum of 1% with a carrier oil and gently massage clockwise over the abdomen to help ease the stomach. Add a few drops to a burner with a fruity oil such as Orange for an energising and uplifting blend! Add 2-3 drops to a warm bath if suffering from a cold. Dilute to a maximum of 1% with a carrier oil and use as a naturally warming muscle rub.

To diffuse in a traditional burner, simply fill dish with water and add a few drops of oil on top before lighting the candle. For electrical fragrancers, follow instructions given by the manual. For massage: dilute in a carrier oil and gently massage over the skin. Add a few drops to a handkerchief or inhale directly from the bottle if you are on the go. Dilute in distilled water and pour into spray bottle for an all-natural room fragrancer.

Ginger blends particularly well with Bergamot, Cedarwood, Clove, Coriander, Eucalyptus, Frankincense, Geranium, Grapefruit, Jasmine, Juniper, Lemon, Lime, Mandarin, Neroli, Orange, Palmarosa, Patchouli, Rose, Sandalwood, Vetivert and Ylang Ylang.
